Teacher, author, mother, motivational speaker and Birmingham native- Rochelle utilizes her extensive education and wealth of personal experience to create renewed attitudes with her clients.
Rochelle Gaston Malone, educator, author, and motivational speaker, and host a dynamic
empowerment lifestyle talk show called Casual Conversations. She is a skilled reading coach,
workshop facilitator, and academic instructor with a solid background in needs assessments,
curriculum planning, program development/coordination, and community relations. She is
innovative, creative, and a skilled motivator, who effectively generates interest in new ideas and
programs. Ms. Gaston Malone has proven effective management, leadership and
administration with demonstrated skills in recruiting, training, supervising and motivating
individuals in achieving maximum performance standards. Superior interpersonal
communications; develop and maintaining loyal, ongoing relationships with clients, staff,
management and the public at all organizational levels is her passion and area of expertise.
Rochelle Gaston Malone has served successfully as an Alabama reading initiative regional
reading coach trainer for the Alabama State Department of Education-ARI Staff, Alabama
reading initiative reading coach and Elementary School Teacher for the Birmingham City
School System (1994-2011), Owner and President Of Creative Expressions School of Dance
(1997-2002), and a Radio Personality with Finley Media as a two time Radio Talk Show Host of
Face To Face With Rochelle Malone and The Transition With Rochelle Malone.
Rochelle is the 2017-18 Champion Award Recipient and named TEACHER OF THE YEAR
2002-03 and OUTSTANDING TEACHER –1999. Her affiliations and organizations include: Phi
Delta Kappa Professional Fraternity in Education, The Alabama Reading Association, The
International Reading Association, Former Multicultural Advisory Committee Member for The
Department of Teacher Education at Samford University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Omicron Omega Chapter and The National Association Of Professional Women.
Her speaking Credits include but aren’t limited to: Virginia College, The A.G. Gaston
Conference, City Club Birmingham, and The Alabama - Mississippi Chapter National MS
Society. Ms. Malone has appeared on Alabama Live WATV-13 Montgomery, ABC 33/40 Midday
News, and has become a regular guest on Talk of Alabama ABC 33/40.
Ms. Gaston Malone is the great-granddaughter of the late Dr. A.G. Gaston, Sr. She is the
founder and executive director of MSFace2Face, a 501c3 non-profit organization whose
mission is to eradicate “MS Poverty” by providing financial assistance and other support to
individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
Writing is a sanctuary for Rochelle. Her published books reveal her journal entries, personal
quotes, and encouraging scriptures that she uses to help strengthen, inspire and motivate
others to endure the test of their life circumstances and to keep going no matter what it feels or
looks like.
There is no audience too large for this petite powerhouse of a woman to inspire. Rochelle has
committed her life to being a light of hope, and voice of encouragement to humanity in an
effort to create renewed mindsets that will facilitate renewed attitudes which will influence
brighter outcomes! Whether it’s a classroom, lecture hall, pulpit, Television talk show, radio
broadcast, or an Empowerment Series, Rochelle Gaston Malone is extremely passionate about
sharing her journey with others. It is through her speaking and writing, that she desires to
provide others with what she calls some "faith building tools" that will inspire, ignite and
initiate them to soar to a place higher than their current situation so they will keep going and
"NEVER GIVE UP"
